For the moment we are only accepting a maximum of 8 people during the Covid-19 crisis. For couples or families we offer the following rooms:

The Carol room

The Carol room is a 25 square metre haven of peace on the ground floor of the house. Our furnishings are carefully chosen to give our guests the sense of a shared home rather than a hotel room and each room is provided with unique works of art. There is no lack of comfort however. The king size bed (2 metres square) can be configured as a twin if that is preferred. The en suite shower is spacious and light. This room overlooks the park and terrace from the window. The Garden room, adjacent to the Carol room, has either twin beds or a king size bed. It has no independent access to the bathroom and toilet so is only suitable for those who are happy to share both spaces.

The Garden Room

The Garden Room is smaller than the Carol Room but the beds are equally large. The careful positioning of furniture and paintings give the sense of a much larger space. This room is configured with twin beds which can be made a king size if required. There is no ensuite bathroom for this room. It is only let with the Carol room if there is a group or family booking. The window looks onto the courtyard through a beautiful Crepe Myrtle tree. It faces east and the sun streams into the room in the morning, but there are shutters and thick curtains for those who prefer to sleep longer.

The Suite

This is a spacious and light filled area offering 40 square metres of comfort. There is a window on either side looking to the park and the field. It has its own bathroom, separate toilet and a very large sitting area. A writing desk in the sitting room waits for the next great novel to be begun. Throughout La Jagée the hosts’ large collection of Australian indigenous art provides colour and interest and several beautiful works hang on the walls of the suite.

The king size bed can be configured as two large singles if preferred. The Italian sofa is convertible to a double bed 140cm and is very comfortable. This room can accomodate up to four people in its ample space and there are tea/coffee making facilities provided. Contact us for information/requests.
